Label Lust: Feather Hearts

As you may or may not know, I have kind of a love-hate relationship with the graphic tee. It’s not that I don’t think they can be cute (because obviously they totally can be), it’s just been hard for me to break free from the mindset of my high school, “no shirts with words” dress code. This all being said, I’m definitely not in high school anymore and I definitely do have a soft spot for a top emblazoned with an ultra-sassy slogan…And that’s why I’m so into Feather Hearts.

Feather Hearts is a Los Angeles-based, independent brand that was launched in late 2012 by George Christopher and Abigail Hedine. The pair have backgrounds in fashion and graphic design, and their collaborative effort that is Feather Hearts uses light and dark influences to create a collection that appeals to both sides. Self-described as a “Dark Americana-inspired” line, Feather Hearts is said to be for “the heart breakers, the trouble makers, the wild child’s, and trend setters”–all of which I can personally get behind. But…what exactly does that mean? Badass graphic tees, natch. Badass graphic tees that are super soft, are patterned and fit perfectly, and are offered at an appropriate price point.

The team runs FeatherHearts.com, where they blog about their label and the babes wearing it  on the regular. To shop the line, look out for Feather Hearts pieces at Urban Outfitters, Nylon Magazine, and Gypsy Warrior. Personally, I purchased this (naughty!) gem from UO, and though it hasn’t made a public appearance as of yet, I’m probably a little more obsessed with just having it than is normal!

What’s your take on Feather Hearts? Which labels are you lusting over ATM? Leave us a comment! We’d love to know your thoughts!
