From runway to real way, there’s definitely something to be said for matching separates. Strategic blazer + trouser pairings are an instant, effortless way to appear polished and put-together in five seconds flat. Summer, however, requires an updated approach to suited sophistication: shorts!
Though it may seem a bit counter-intuitive, the inherent contradiction in a “shorts suit” is part of this trend’s appeal, and actually what maximizes its potential for wearability. When worn together, for example, matching separates that include some variation on the shorts + top + jacket combo–aka the summer suit–function as a modern, office-friendly option.
