As far as “trendy” hairstyles go, variations on braids and buns always make the top 5. Over the past few seasons, we’ve been treated to the donut bun, top knot, fishtail braid, and braided crown, so it was really only time that the two styles joined forces, no? As you know, here at Mieux & Mieux, we’re all about collaboration, so this beauty tutorial is basically all of our wildest hair dreams personified. K, so that might actually be a little dramatic, but this multi-braid bun is totally stunning. AND it looks totally easy! When does that ever happen?! It’s rare, Mieuxs–we must embrace it. I found this beauty on Pinterest (where else), where it was incorrectly linked. Also, much to my dismay, variations of the image in question seem to be floating around all over the internet, sans source! Luckily, however, even without context or specific commentary, copping this braided bun seems pretty simple. So simple that I’ll break it down for you, step by step.
Hair How To: The Perfect Braided Bun
Braid small sections of hair around your crown. These can be as uniform or as random as you would like.
Put your hair up in a pony, making sure to secure the small braids.
Tightly braid the ponytail. (A tight braid will showcase the style’s structure one it’s been “bunned”!)
Twist the braided pony up into a bun. Secure. Look like a fox.
Couldn’t be easier, right?
What do you think of the braided bun? Would you rock it? What’s your go-to style when you’re running late on time? Share your thoughts with a comment!
