Summer may have just ended, but Pantone is (appropriately) already announcing the leading hues for Spring! The company just announced their Fashion Color Report for Spring 2014, just in time for New York Fashion Week. The theme? “A season of colorful equilibrium.” Designers have mixed “soft pastels” and “vivid brights” to create a palette that’s not only eye-catching and versatile, but that also inspires new mixes and color combinations. The #1 shade–“Dazzling Blue”–is a bold cobalt, but the 9 other hues (including ‘Sand’, ‘Radiant Orchid’, and ‘Violet Tulip’) run the gamut from earthy and demure to saturated and intense. It’s all about balance. Check out the breakdown of Pantone’s picks below!
What do you think of Pantone’s Color Report? Which of the shades are your favorites?
