Major news for Marchesa fans: Design duo Georgina Chapman an Keren Craig, major purveyors of coveted evening gowns and makers of all of the costumes in 2010’s Black Swan have launched a new mid-priced line! Marchesa Voyage premiered at an NYC launch party earlier this month, with bohemian-inspired pieces ranging in price from $260 – $1000–a deep discount from Marchesa’s famed $1000 – $7000 frocks. The line quietly hit stores on the15th of this month, with co-designer Chapman promising, “It’s got the Marchesa DNA.” So, what else can we all expect from MV? Daywear, for starters! Heavily bohemian-influenced pieces include silk tunics, lace loungewear, and kimono jackets with a heavy focus on detail and embellishment. Look out for gold thread, lace accents, opulent prints, and beading galore–all of which is primarily hand-done in Marchesa’s own studio. If you’re into a glam-but-boho vibe, you’re going to be all over this line – promise.
