Mieux & Mieux Style Spotlight: Payton Indie Tube Blouse

Sometimes thrifting can be overwhelming. With so many one-of-a-kind pieces filling racks before your eyes (or pages at your fingertips if you’re shopping with us online!) sometimes discovering items you adore can be a bit tricky. Have no fear, thrift kitties! In this column, we’ll highlight some of Mieux & Mieux’s hidden gems and give you some ideas for how to wear them. Though there may only be one of everything, make sure to check out our online shop or stop by in person for similar styles. Score!

Introducing…The ‘Indie Tube Blouse’ by PAYTON

We’ve covered a dress and a pair of jeans in the style spotlight, so now it’s time for tops! This week, I’m highlighting the indie fringe tube blouse by PAYTON. Decked out in festival-approved fringe, the top highlights universally held assets: the ultra-feminine neck and beautiful shoulders. Unlike traditional tube tops, this blouse features a relaxed, tiered fit that skims over your curves and provides a banded chest for a little extra support. Lightly padded cups enhance your shape and provide coverage, and the gathered sweetheart neckline proves flattering and wearable for those of all bust sizes. Need I mention that this is a tan-line free garment?! It is!  And we have it for sale for $21–that’s almost 80% off it’s original MSRP of $98.  This top is so perfect for summer I can hardly stand it. I’ll be the first to admit it: If this top were my size, it would be in my closet right now. But, alas, it is not.  Wondering how to work it into your rotation? I got you! Check out my styling suggestions below.

I love this outfit for a spring day date, brunch, or family outing. Concerned about the wearability of this top if fitted bottoms aren’t your thing? No worries! The bottom layer of this top can be tucked into a circle or skater skirt like the one pictured, leaving the fringe and top layers out. For an added dose of body-con, add a wide belt.

Though the inspiration behind this outfit was festival street style, this look would work for any casual summer affair. The relaxed fit of the top helps to balance the length of the shorts and the gladiator sandals add a bit of trendy edge. A long, lariat necklace is the perfect accessory as it pulls the look together without detracting from the blouse’s detailed neckline.

Fringe, studs, and print in the same outfit?! Yepper. The neutral hue of the top and the muted colors in the jeans combine to create a look that is free-spirited and interesting without being loud or crazy. It’s an easy way to make a subtle fashion statement–perfect for those dressers who want to add adventure to their everyday looks. Another bonus? Wearability. With the addition of a worn-in leather jacket, this outfit could work in any season.

Are you a size M and need this top in your closet? Pick it up from Mieux & Mieux here! And remember: we only have one!
